Yep, we went, and came back from Bali!!! Now back home I realize I have to get back to the dutch daily life of working surfing the slob, eating and sleeping until you wake up and the day repeats itself. just luntil I have saved money, checked the internet for swell, got my days off, and go on the next surf trip.!!

Anyway, lets not sit here and sob, Bali is great, if not the best for surfers like ourselfs, you have the crowded beach and familiar reefbreaks, the less well known breaks on varieus spots around the island where you can still enjoin a non crowded surfbreak. We got barreled and spit out, we got washed on the reef, we got sick from the food, and we've had headaches from the arack attack (well known indo vodka) At first I flew to Bangkok, got on the train right away down south, jumped on the boat to Koh Samui in Thailand where Rio-member Jeri lives. The same day we celebrated his birthday (nope, i am not telling you how old he is now!!! hahahaha) Drunk we fell asleep, and the rest of the week was just relaxing, eating, going to the gym, driving around the beautifull island and waching the elephants having dinner at night!! Great times in Thailand again!!!

But we went to Bali right?! Arriving on Bali in the nighttime and catching a taxi is easy, finding a bungalow or a room is even simpler, sleeping is the hard part if you know there are waves coming in but you just dont see a freaking thing in the dark. The next day the hunt for a new surfboard since i didnt bring any, 45 minutes later we were done and ready to check out Kuta Beach break.

Nice waves rolling in, crowded as ever, but the friendliest locals in the world. Caching the first waves is fun, smiling down the line, almost no bottom turns, no cutbacks, just becouse you forget becouse you are enjoining the wave to much!!! Than realizing its better surfing with turns and cutbacks.

Exhausted at dinner, nasi goreng and Gado Gado acompanied with a banana smoothie!!! surf food for life!!! The next day we wake up early and the day starts over!!!

Renting a car is the best way to get to all the spots at your own pace, you can go where ever you want and when you want, you can stay over for the night and surf the same spot early in the morning again before heading to the next. This way it's so much better becouse you can surf the same spot three times instead of one!!

Spots surfed:Kuta beach, Legian beach, airport left, medewi, playgrounds, lacerations, dreamland.

We had the best time ever, check again in a few weeks for pictures and more!!!!
