Ohh Yeah.......

Sorry for all you guys sitting and waiting for swell in the good old cold and windy Holland. My girl and I are leaving for Miami Florida...... Hoping there is some good swell rolling in in the tropical water temps. of Miami Beach and Florida Keys.... I know I was planning to go to Tenerife but since its fully booked there we had to think of a better place and my Patricia surprised me!!! I'll keep you up to date about this grazy last minute trip.......READ ON!!!!

Okay there we go, afther a two hour flight to Zurich I went to Patricia's place and slept there till the next morning. The day before I checked a few internet sites for the swell predictions, didn't look good, flat, flat, flat. So my choice was not to bring my board but just to rent one on location. Anyway, the next morning we left for Atlanta and from there we went to Miami. Afther 15 hours we arrived at our hotel. The rental car looked nothing like a surfcar, but drove nice and easy. With 30 degrees C it was pretty nice to walk around in the shade, sit on the beach and drink beer and rum and coke. So we did that for two days. No waves, no surfers, no nothing but good weather, good atmosphere and laid back people. The next three days we went to Key West, a nice island with lots of things to do and lots of beer to drink. Its located out of any swell directions but since there wasn't any that did'nt realy matter anyway. So back to Miami south beach. Again shopping, beer and wind and rain!! Swell prediction for Saturday and Sunday!! We were leaving on Saturdaymorning!! The only thing I could do was watch surfers riding skateboards with surfboards under there arms heading for the beach. Pick up trucks with shortboards in the back, motorbikes with guys wearing wetsuits!!! AAAAGGGHHHHH!!!!! Major bomber dudes!!!! I had to catch a flight so I couldn't go in!! I had to leave. Now afther a long 26 hr trip back home I still think its a shame I couldn't surf. But i guess you just can't help it, the waves are not to hunt, you'll have to be patient and wait them out. I had a great time in Miami with my girlfriend and Im not sad im happy and had a great trip!!! Florida the sunshine state rules!!!
